Master of Divinity with a Concentration in Worship and Music Ministry
The Master of Divinity: Worship and Music Ministry Concentration is for students interested in pastoral ministry or future doctoral studies relating to worship and music ministry. Students integrate traditional MDiv curriculum with a concentration in worship and music ministry in order to discover contemporary and creative applications for worship and the music in today's church.
A distinctive feature of the concentration is music leadership studios designed to enhance the students' abilities within the context of a mentoring relationship. Students applying to this concentration should already have a strong background in music.

IMPORTANT ADMISSIONS INFORMATION
In addition to the full admissions procedures for programs at Fuller Theological Seminary, applications to the MDiv: Worship and Music Ministry and MA in Worship and Music Ministry degrees must meet additional criteria.
The following are supplemental requirements for all Worship and Music Ministry applicants:a) Required: Please provide a short essay (1 page maximum) indicating your interest in this program, your background and experience in worship and music ministry, and how this degree would relate to your professional goals. This essay is submitted with your admissions materials and the Fuller Admissions Office.
Requirements b and c (below) indicate that a certain level of musical ability is necessary for applicants to the Worship and Music Ministry concentrations. While the degrees are not music studio degrees, they do incorporate music and require a musical foundation approximately equivalent to (through study and/or experience) at least a minor in music at the B.A. degree level.
b) Required: Please complete the written music theory assessment and submit it with your application materials. This test may be taken onsite at Fuller Pasadena by making arrangements with the Brehm Center Office, or may be proctored in the student's location. Contact the Brehm Center to arrange the music theory assessment.
c) Required: A performance audition is required of all applicants. This requirement may be met through a live audition performed on the Fuller Pasadena campus, or via a recording (audio and/or video). Submissions should include 2-3 contrasting pieces on the applicant's primary instrument (instrument, voice, ensemble, choir conducted, etc). Submitted recordings must be clearly labeled, listing selections, titles, composers, instrumentation, running time, and recording date for each piece. Notes and comments are welcome. Due to our inability to return sent materials, please do not send original work.
