...Reading
Some people love to read and others scream at the sight of a Barnes and Noble! I happen to like reading, though I do have my preferences of what I read. I do know that when I read I'm better for it, whether I prefer it or not. Worship leaders need to be readers! What are you reading right now? I think for professional purposes - not for enjoyment purposes - a worship leader should be reading periodicals and books that keep them fresh and thinking about subjects that will become parts of their worship leading and planning life. Certainly a daily time in the Bible is an essential part of your need for reading that will reflect in your worship leadership. What about reading Tozer and Piper? Have you read Dan Kimball and Andy Stanley? What about Worship Leader and CCM? You'll be a better worship leader if you fill your mind and heart with these things. How about Henri Nouwen and Richard Foster...ooooooooo!
